Whiter Clouds Could Mean Wetter Land

One proposed emergency fix to halt global warming is to seed clouds over the ocean to make them more reflective, reducing the solar radiation absorbed by the Earth. But the scheme could also change global rainfall patterns, raising concerns of water shortages on land. A woman drowned in northern Romania, authorities said Monday, bringing to six the death toll from floods that have submerged parts of the country for the past week. Authorities in the northern department of Suceava found the body of the 54-year-old woman who was swept by waters when she was leading her cows back home from pasture, a spokesman for the emergency situations inspectorate said.
