Booz Allen Hamilton wins cyber-security contact
by Richard Tomkins
Washington (UPI) Jul 6, 2017

The U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency has tapped Booz Allen Hamilton to help improve the Department of Defense's cyber-security and risk management.

The single-award Blanket Purchase Agreement for the use of automated security solutions for the agency's Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service, or eMass, is worth $40 million, the company announced on Thursday.

"We are honored to be selected as the government's trusted partner for this important DoD cyber-security mission," Brad Medairy, senior vice president with Booz Allen, said in a press release.

"Today's information security professionals can easily spend much of their day sorting through cyber incident alerts. New approaches, like automating incident response, are key to cyber resiliency and will enable DISA's talented cyber warriors to shift from sorting anomalies to focusing on the most critical issues."

Booz Allen said it is to provide DISA with full lifecycle development and sustainment of the eMASS system. Included will be user training and integration with other cyber-security tools for automation.

Additional details of work to be performed and contract details were not disclosed.
