Canada-based CAE recently won more than $139 million in contracts to provide simulation products, training services and support for global military customers.

The contracts, awarded during CAE's first quarter of its 2018 fiscal year, include Lockheed Martin's support in developing five C-130J fuselage trainers for the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command; L3 MAS' continued CF-18 in-service support for the Royal Canadian Air Force, and Airbus Defense and Space support for RCAF C295W Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue training.

"These orders augment the long-term, recurring revenue profile of our defense business," Gene Colabatistto, CAE's group president for Defence & Security, said in a company news release Tuesday. "Original equipment manufacturers and global militaries continue to recognize our training and simulation experience on enduring platforms, such as the C-130J, which combined with a positive defense environment continues to provide us a healthy pipeline of opportunities around the world."

Under a sub-contract from Lockheed Martin, CAE USA will work on building four KC-130J fuselage trainers for the U.S. Marines -- by utilizing the design of the CC-130J trainers to the RCAF.

CAE will deliver the systems between 2020 and 2022. CAE USA will also support developing an HC/MC-130J enhanced fuselage trainer for the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command.

L3 MAS, a subsidiary of L3 Technologies, tapped CAE to continue the company's dealings to provide L3 with variety in-service support solutions for the RCAF's CF-18 aircraft.

CAE said it will also provide training services, device upgrades and maintenance, hardware and software engineering, course-ware updates, technology insertion and obsolescence management and other services for the RCAF C295W training program through its order from Airbus DS.
