An unidentified provider of military communications technology has partnered with Clavister of Sweden to develop embedded security for mobile systems.

Clavister, which specializes in network security, said that under the agreement it will provide the advanced, embedded security solutions that secure communications infrastructure and command-and-control systems against data interception and other threats.

"Attacks aimed at disrupting infrastructure and communications continue to grow," Clavister Chief Executive Officer Jim Carlsson said. "Protecting against these threats will require security that is embedded into the devices themselves, to create distributed but secure environments.

We look forward to working on this project to develop advanced, flexible security solutions that can keep pace with the constantly changing threat landscape, and protect a wide range of devices and platforms against attacks."

Carlsson said deliveries of its technology to its partner have already begun.

The arrangement is part of the company's international expansion, which includes agreements to deliver secure wi-fi networks in Brazil and marketing deals in Japan for the Asia-Pacific region.
