Logistics services to the U.S. Army's Fort Irwin's National Training Center are to continue to be provided by Northrop Grumman. The contract is a cost-plus-fixed-fee arrangement with a potential value of $205 million, the company said. It has a base performance period of one year and two one-year options. "Our demonstrated superior performance on this contract has provided our valued Army customer with world-class support and unparalleled response to meet warfighting requirements," said Greg Schmidt, vice president and general manager, Mission Solutions and Readiness division, Northrop Grumman Technical Services. "Northrop Grumman's win ensures that continued innovation for affordability in providing logistical support services will be delivered to the Army by a team committed to excellence and dedicated to the mission." The Fort Irwin National Training Center provides realistic force-on-force and live-fire training for brigade-size Army combat teams and Northrop Grumman has been providing logistics support for it since 2001. Additional details of the contract and the services to be performed were not detailed.
