Astranis and Orbith Partner to Launch Dedicated Satellite for Argentina

Astranis, in collaboration with Orbith, a Latin American Internet Service Provider, has announced a partnership to launch a dedicated MicroGEO communications satellite aimed at enhancing connectivity in Argentina.

The initiative marks a significant step in Argentina's adoption of advanced technologies. The partnership between Astranis and Orbith aims to leverage Orbith's deep understanding of Argentina's communication needs and its growing presence across Latin America. Orbith offers diverse services, ranging from supporting hospitals and schools to serving businesses and consumers, and aims to overcome the limitations of fractional capacity rentals that have hindered its expansion in Argentina.

Pablo Mosiul, CEO of Orbith, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the dedicated satellite as a crucial element for Orbith's strategic expansion in Argentina. "This dedicated MicroGEO communications satellite from Astranis will be a massive accelerator for our plans in Argentina. Having a satellite specifically tailored to our needs, and to the demand that we see from our customers in the country, is a massive competitive advantage that will help us expand our coverage across the country," said Mosiul.

Scheduled for launch in 2025 as part of Astranis's third satellite launch, the project signifies the company's commitment to addressing the connectivity needs in emerging markets. The partnership not only secures Orbith's competitive edge in Argentina but also ensures Astranis's MicroGEO satellite launches are fully allocated, demonstrating strong market demand for dedicated satellite services.
