Hanwha Solar, a global provider of total solar energy solutions and a leading manufacturer of silicon ingots, wafers, and photovoltaic cells and modules, has launched three new solar photovoltaic (PV) modules: 48-cell and 60-cell monocrystalline modules, and a new mono-like polycrystalline module.

The new modules, which will be on exhibit at the SNEC PV Power Expo 2012, enhance Hanwha Solar's existing line of high-quality, low-cost solar PV panels.

"At Hanwha Solar, we listen to the needs of our customers to develop products that deliver the results they demand," said Hanwha Solar president Hee Cheul Kim.

"With these three new high-performance, low-cost modules, which are backed by an industry leading 25-year linear power and 12-year workmanship warranty and the full support of Korea's Fortune-500 Hanwha Group, Hanwha Solar is the world's most reliable partner in solar."

The 48-cell monocrystalline module HSL48M6 has a maximum module efficiency of 15.7 percent with a total output of 210W, while the 60-cell monocrystalline module HSL60M6 reaches a module efficiency of 15.7 percent with a total output of 260W.

The modules, which feature 6-inch monocrystalline PV cells offer 1 - 1.2 percent higher efficiency compared to polycrystalline modules.

Hanwha Solar's new mono-like module HSL72P6 achieves a maximum module efficiency of 15.2 percent with 300W total output. It is made from polycrystalline, but has a similar structure to monocrystalline modules. This gives the module an energy efficiency conversion rate comparable to conventional monocrystalline technology, but at a lower price.

The three new modules-designed for utility, commercial and residential applications-will complement Hanwha Solar's existing product line.

In addition to launching these products, the company will also accept its official certification from TUV Rheinland for passing the Long-Term Sequential Test (LST) in a ceremony held at Hanwha Solar's SNEC booth. Hanwha Solar is among the first in the industry to pass the rigorous LST, underscoring the company's commitment to delivering high-quality products.
