LGS Innovations enhances ISR technologies

LGS Innovations has acquired Axios Inc, a provider of communications and signal processing solutions to the U.S. military and intelligence communities.

The acquisition complements and enhances LGS' intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance technologies with the addition of mission-attached services and application development capabilities.

"Axios has a high caliber of project performance, corporate culture, and outstanding people," said Kevin Kelly, chief executive officer LGS Innovations. "Both Axios and LGS employees share a dedication to the mission and a track record of developing creative solutions to complicated challenges, and we are looking forward to working together on communications and networking advancements."

Axios will continue its operations as a wholly-owned subsidiary of LGS.

LGS Innovations offers groundbreaking research and development in the areas of wireless communications, radio frequency spectrum analysis, cyber-security, fiber optic and free-space optical communications. Axios supports missions of the Department of Defense and its intel community partners through the design, development, delivery of processing solutions and products in the fields of communications, digital signal processing, software, network engineering, system engineering, and system integration.

The financial terms and other conditions of the acquisition transaction between the Virginia-headquartered companies were not immediately available.
