MapMyFITNESS To Attend 2011 SXSW Interactive Festival

MapMyFITNESS has announced that it will attend and exhibit at the 2011 SXSW Interactive Festival. The company aims to engage festival participants and demonstrate the ways that web and mobile technologies can help them achieve better overall health and fitness.

The 18th annual SXSW Interactive Festival will take place March 11-15, 2011 in Austin, Texas. The event features five days of compelling presentations from the leaders in emerging technology, scores of exciting networking events and an assortment of special programs showcasing the best new web and mobile ideas.

MapMyFITNESS will exhibit its web and mobile fitness oriented applications at the festival from March 14-17th. In addition, the company will host a happy hour during the SXSW Block Party and plans to get festivalgoers active by hosting a variety of runs, walks and bike rides.

MapMyFITNESS's websites-MapMyRUN.com, MapMyRIDE.com, MapMyWALK.com, MapMyHIKE.com, MapMyFITNESS.com, MapMyMOUNTAIN.com and MapMyTRI.com-provide users with an array of valuable online tools including a pioneering route mapping application for tracking and recording daily running, cycling, hiking and walking routes, a database of saved routes from around the world, various health and fitness calculators, an online training log, a newly launched online Nutrition Center and a dynamic social network where people can come together to share their progress and exchange knowledge.

The iMapMy apps for the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry give users the ability to map and record their routes and exercise data direct from their mobile devices.
