NASA Awards Safety and Mission Assurance Contract to ARES

ARES Technical Services has been selected by NASA to provide safety and mission assurance services to Goddard Space Flight Center's SMA Directorate under the Safety and Mission Assurance Services (SMAS) contract.

ARES and its teammates will provide system safety, mission assurance, risk and reliability, software assurance and institutional assurance in support of current and future NASA programs, including the James Webb Space Telescope, Joint Polar Satellite Systems and numerous other space and earth science programs.

The ARES team includes Honeywell Technical Solutions Incorporated, Arctic Slope Research Corporation's Research and Technology Solutions, Summit Technologies and Solutions, Prototype Productions Incorporated and Design for Reliability Solutions.

The contract has a five-year effective ordering period and a maximum ordering value of $180 million.
