Navy's electro-optic systems get support from CACI International

A $32 million U.S. Navy contract has been given to CACI International Inc. for engineering and technical support for Electro-optic Technolgy.

The award issued by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division's Electro-Optic Technology Division features a one-year base period of performance, two one-year options and two one-year task orders.

Under the contract, CACI will provide NSWC's Electro-Optic Technology Division with a range of engineering and technical services -- including test and evaluation, logistics, and field engineering -- for electro-optic sensors used on airborne, maritime, and ground platforms that provide capabilies such as surveillance, detection, and target tracking.

"Backed by our decades of experience supporting acquisition and logistics for key Navy programs, CACI offers the deep understanding and domain expertise needed to ensure that Navy sensors and related systems have been properly tested and are ready for deployment both at sea and ashore," said John Mengucci, CACI's chief operating officer and president of U.S. Operations.
