New Solar Shingle Mount Requires No Trimming

Novato CA (SPX) Jan 20, 2012

Made of galvanized steel and with only three primary components, the TTi Flat Jack anchors to the roof's rafters providing a solid foundation and converting a shingle roof into a solar platform.

TTi has announced the next generation of its leading residential solar roof mount, the patented TTi Flat Jack Comp Shingle Mount. As the most durable and reliable mount for installing photovoltaic (PV) panels on composition shingle roofs, the TTi Flat Jack now requires no shingle trimming or sealants, reduces labor costs and protects roofs.

With roof leaks as one of the top concerns among homeowners considering solar, installers can now provide the homeowner with peace of mind, knowing that the fully-flashed, high quality TTi Flat Jack is protecting their roof.

"We took our installers' feedback and designed the new Flat Jack Comp Shingle Mount with a larger flashing that requires no shingle trimming or sealants, allowing for a faster install and assurance that the mount is 100% watertight," said Denise Thompson, General Manager at TTi.

Made of galvanized steel and with only three primary components, the TTi Flat Jack anchors to the roof's rafters providing a solid foundation and converting a shingle roof into a solar platform.

The system is engineered with a breakthrough design and is built to withstand heavy vertical loads and high winds. It is compatible with all standard PV rail systems and can support other roof installations including HVAC equipment, antennas, solar thermal, or flagpoles.

The TTi Flat Jack was recently selected by Energiebau North America for its LORENZ solo photovoltaic mounting system.

"After our evaluation of other roof mounts, the TTi Flat Jack Comp Shingle Mount stood out because it was designed with installers in mind," said Christopher Booth, VP of Sales at Energiebau North America.

"This particular flashing system is designed to the same high standards as LORENZ solo and meets the basic requirements of speed of install, durability and safety."
