Northrop Grumman Wins Mission Command Training Contract

No U.S. Army brigade since Desert Shield/Desert Storm has deployed into a combat theater without going through an MCTP exercise.

The Department of the Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center - Fort Eustis has awarded Northrop Grumman a contract to provide training and technical services in support of the U.S. Army Mission Command Training Program (MCTP).

The $388.4 million cost plus award fee contract includes a one-year base with four option years. Work will be performed at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. and training facilities worldwide.

"For more than 20 years, Northrop Grumman has provided the U.S. Army with the most realistic and challenging training support based upon lessons learned from the front lines," said Tom Vice, corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman Technical Services.

"We look forward to continuing to provide best-value, world-class support to this critical program that is so vital to our Nation's warfighters."

The Northrop Grumman team provides critical training support based upon real world threat scenarios to U.S. Army and Allied commanders and staffs from battalion through Corps level. No U.S. Army brigade since Desert Shield/Desert Storm has deployed into a combat theater without going through an MCTP exercise.
