Rosetta's influence: How has it inspired you?

It's been ten years since the European Space Agency's (ESA) Rosetta mission reached Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. In the past decade, the mission's scientific achievements have significantly contributed to unraveling the mysteries of comets and deepened our understanding of the Solar System's origins. However, the mission has also impacted people beyond the realm of science.

To mark this milestone, ESA is launching an online exhibition, "10 years since Rosetta," and is calling for personal stories from around the world. Whether Rosetta influenced a career change, sparked a renewed passion for space, or inspired a creative endeavor, ESA wants to hear how the mission has touched lives.

People are invited to share how Rosetta influenced them in 2014 and what the mission's legacy has meant over the last decade. Submissions can range from career changes, academic pursuits, and artistic creations, to personal projects like naming a pet after the mission's Philae lander. ESA encourages submissions that include images, videos, or audio, aiming to make the exhibition visually engaging.

The deadline for submissions is 12 October 2024, and the online exhibition will go live on 12 November 2024, commemorating the anniversary of Philae's landing on the comet. Contributors whose work is featured in the exhibition will receive a personalized Rosetta certificate via email.
