SATLINE boosts European satellite reach with new UK data center
by Clarence Oxford
London, UK (SPX) Oct 16, 2025

SATLINE has launched a new United Kingdom data center to expand its satellite coverage and enhance broadcast, IPTV, and OTT performance across Europe. The new facility, equipped with two high-performance downlink antennas, enables faster and more resilient connectivity for clients in the satellite communications sector.

The center's core function is to convert satellite RF signals into IP streams for storage or origination. This allows customers to distribute data through their own networks, CDNs, or private connections with ultra-low latency, improving both coverage and reliability across broadcast workflows.

With the addition of satellite positions at 5oW and 28.2oE, SATLINE strengthens its European network footprint. The new UK facility provides Layer 2 connectivity for near-zero latency data transfer and holds TIER 3 certification to ensure uninterrupted operations and data security. Its scalable design includes reserved capacity for future satellite positions, additional rack space, and bandwidth expansion.

"By opening a data center in the United Kingdom, we're taking an important step in strengthening satellite connectivity across Europe and beyond," said Gleb Sazanov, CEO of SATLINE. "We can now offer new satellite positions and world-class infrastructure, ensuring our clients experience the lowest possible latency and dependable performance - essential in today's fast-evolving broadcasting and IPTV markets."

The expansion offers clients new opportunities, including extended access to more satellite sources vital for IPTV, OTT, and hospitality TV services. Customers can also deploy virtual SAT>IP servers or dedicated servers with satellite connectivity for flexible, customized signal reception and distribution. The upgraded infrastructure supports greater stability and allows rapid adaptation to client demands.
