The Shenzhou XVIII crew aboard China's Tiangong space station concluded their second spacewalk at 10:51 pm (Beijing Time) on Wednesday, according to the China Manned Space Agency.

With the support of the station's robotic arm and ground researchers, the team installed protective devices against space debris for the pipelines, cables, and critical equipment outside the Tiangong station. They also carried out an extravehicular inspection.

Ye Guangfu and Li Cong, who undertook the spacewalk, have safely returned to the Wentian lab module.

The mission marks the completion of one-third of their planned space journey, with many in-orbit scientific experiments and technological tests still ahead, according to the agency.
