New Zealand-based Spidertracks has announced an agreement with Cessna Aircraft Company to have its new Iridium-based automatic flight following (AFF) products distributed through Cessna's global network of 360 parts and service centers.

According to company president Bruce Bartley, Cessna selected Spidertracks after more than eight months of extensive testing toensure compatibility with all other electronic equipment aboard the Cessna aircraft.

The Spidertracks tracking device transmits GPS position coordinates, speed, altitude and direction to the Spidertracks Website, which provides a visual picture of the tracks on Google Maps.
