Spire Global, Inc. (NYSE: SPIR), a leading provider of space-based data, analytics, and services, successfully launched seven new satellites aboard SpaceX's Transporter-11 mission. The launch occurred on August 16, 2024, from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

This mission marks Spire's third launch of the year and the 41st overall, bringing the total number of satellites deployed by the company to 196.

The newly deployed LEMUR satellites range in size from 3U to 16U and are designed for a variety of uses. These satellites will enhance weather forecasting, enable global soil moisture monitoring, and improve maritime vessel tracking. Additionally, they will support various missions for Spire's Space Services clients.

Boosting Weather Monitoring Capabilities
Spire continues to advance its weather and environmental monitoring technology by integrating radio occultation and reflectometry into a single platform. This dual-function capability allows Spire to gather comprehensive data from both the atmosphere and the Earth's surface, enhancing the accuracy of weather forecasts provided to major meteorological agencies.

Recently, the company expanded its Weather and Climate product suite to include advanced Soil Moisture Insights, leveraging proprietary measurements, open-source data, and AI. These insights are vital for agricultural planning, water resource management, and efforts to address climate change.
