Taipei (AFP) May 9, 2011 Taiwan's Central Weather Bureau on Monday issued a sea warning against storm Aere, saying it may unleash heavy rains on parts of the island, after it lashed the Philippines and killed nine people there. Aere -- the first storm to threaten the island this year -- may set off torrential rains in the island's east and south if it moves along the forecast route within the next few days, the bureau said. The tropical storm pounded the eastern Philippines on Sunday, bringing heavy rains and landslides that forced thousands to flee their homes.
